Discrete Mathematics and Its Application, 6th Edition, by Kenneth H. Rosen
There are some copies in the library that you can check out.
There is also at least one copy that can be used in reading room, i.e., you can take it and work inside the library.

Grading and Attendance

Attendance: The almost full attendance (>%93) will be rewarded as 0.5 extra points (out of 10) at the end of the semester.
The ones attended to at least 26 lectures will be rewarded as 0.5 extra points.

Exams: There will be 8 short exams out of 10 points during the semester (PD1-PD8).

Retake exams in January: You may retake any exam on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
For each exam, the final mark will be the highest score between your previous score and retake exam's score.

Final Grade = (PD1 + PD2 + PD3 + PD4 + PD5 + PD6 + PD7 + PD8)/8 + Bonus

Attendance: The almost full attendance (>%93) will be rewarded as 5 extra points (out of 100) at the end of the semester.

Exercises from the book for self-studying: Grading: There will be 11 short exams in total, and your eight highest scores will be taken when calculating your final grade, i.e., your two lowest scores will be discarded.

Final Exam: January 17, 2018 is reserved for the final exam. It will be the whole day in room #345.

Besides taking the 11th Exam, there will be an optional and bonus workshop that you can participate in. The workshop will take around 5-7 hours, and certain practical (programming) tasks will be completed.

The one who completes all tasks can replace one of his/her test score with 10 points. More details will be announced later.
